CLASS PLACEMENT

Each new student will be evaluated in the first class for proper placement, and any necessary level changes will be made at that time. This policy is to ensure that each student is challenged, but not overwhelmed. All studios and classes are different; therefore, if a student was an advanced student at another studio, they may not be an advanced student at Dance Fusion. We individualize the dance program of each student, and it is very important that they be in the proper level to gain the most benefit of the class.  

OBSERVATION

In order to limit distraction, all classes are closed. We will offer observation days throughout the year for parents to view what their child has been learning. The observation days will be on the last class of each session. Parents are welcome to bring cameras to that class. We would love to see a copy of the pictures!

DRESS CODE

My First Dance Class: Comfortable clothing, bare feet.

Ballet: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers, hair secured in bun. Ages 12+ may wear a skirt or dance shorts at the approval of the instructor. Boys - black pants, white shirt, black shoes.

Hip-Hop: Comfortable clothing, clean sneakers worn only at dance. Please pick a sneaker with minimal tread. Converse and puma usually work well.

Jazz and Tap: Form fit clothing. Any style of jazz shoe is acceptable with the exception of jazz sneakers. Tap shoes must be tan. Ages 3-8: Revolution full-sole ballet slippers in pink. Ages 9+: Revolution premium split-sole ballet slippers. 

STUDIO RULES

1. It is expected that all students treat each other and their instructors with respect. Failure to do so could cause dismissal from the studio, without reimbursement.

2.  One of the best ways to learn is by watching other students. At times, we need to work individually with students in the class. During these instances, the remaining students are expected to either practice or watch. Talking is distracting, and therefore is not an option.

3. In the case that you are not able to make a class, please contact the studio in advance. Refunds will not be granted for missed classes, however, you can take a makeup class, provided we received a minimum of 24 hours advanced notice. We will recommend an appropriate makeup class for you. 

4. In the case of inclement weather, we will update our website and the voice mail system after 2 PM with any class closings. We follow the Revere School District school closing schedule for weather closings.

5. For your own safety, please follow the instructions given by the teacher at all times.

ATTENDANCE

Refunds will not be given for missed classes. However, absences may be made up in a similar class, provided we have received 24 hour notice of your cancellation. Please check with the instructor for a recommendation. Missing an excessive amount of Junior Competition Team classes or Dance Fusion Company classes could jeopardize your spot on the team.
